    Ni hao Alex,
I have just returned back to Australia (audaliya) from a 4 week business trip in China, or should I say (zhong guo) and enjoyed this trip more tha ever before thanks to you and China Speak. I was able to communicate to a certain extent with cab drivers, restaurants and in small conversations with people I deal with, in their own language, which I must say, they appreciated that I was making the effort. I was also complemented on my pronounciation of the words I spoke in Mandarin which I have worked hard on getting right, thanks to you.So, in a nut shell, wo hen kuai le and Xin Nian Kuai le. Oh and on a side note, I have also started learning pin yin, so as to be able to communicate in written language as well. Zhejiang for now.

    Jeff

      Nihao Jeff!

Lucky you in China! – so miss the friends and food.

Really happy to hear that you’ve been actively using Chinese when you were over there and it’s so AWESOME (I feel) when there’s that bridge of connection and understanding – just from sounds coming out!
      =)

      Keep in touch mate

Xin Nian Kuai Le Alex! Yes, I did e/mail you a few months back re. learning Mandarin, but I have had to put off any additional committments till later in this new year! Please give me a “bell” (well at least an e/mail) around June/July and I’ll see how things are then.
